Face Did!

I’m usually on the fence when it comes to whether or not I should get my makeup done professionally for an event. Usually, the answer is no. It’s sucha gamble. I’ve had a couple times where I’m absolutely in love with the finished look but sooo many times where I end up with my face looking so left field of what I requested! I find it easier to just do it myself!

Well I knew I would be happy with the results from Team PROliphic Beauty. You can tell that Melissa Hibbert knows her stuff (just take a look at her–she’s beyond gorgeous!) and I knew I would be in good hands.

Melissa hooked up my girl, Ferris while Rose worked alongside her to give me a look that was perfect for the Makeup & Martinis event, my boyfriend’s comedy show after and a good friend’s holiday party later that night! Yes, this look had to hold up for hourrrssss and it surely did!

Check out the photos:

Rose gave me a deep smokey eye with a pinky-nude lip and it was PERFECTION. She made sure I was happy and that was so, so appreciated! She’s wonderful to work with!

It’s Time for Makeup and Martinis!

Ya’ll have to know by now I love any excuse to get glammed up with the girls. When I was in my teens and didn’t have a car or events to attend, I would do up my hair and makeup just for fun as a cure for boredom. I’d walk around the house and my dad would say, “Where do you think you’re going?!” I’d lower my head and say “Um, nowhere.” Ha! Times have changed!

Now I DO have plans and it’s the “Makeup and Martinis” event presented by Melissa Hibbert and hosted by my girl, Miss Dunnie O. Check out the flyer:

Do you see those sponsors?! If you’re in LA this weekend, this is a night you don’t want to miss!

8 Steps to Sultry, Smokey Eyes

When Tia mowry tweeted her new super short do, I thought it was super cute-But truth be told, what really captivated me were her sultry, smokey eyes! Meow!

I tried out the look before heading out to a surprise birthday party at The Hudson in West Hollywood. I hardly ever do really dramatic eye makeup because it’s usually very time consuming to get it just right! I have a rule: The time you will be at the event/club/party should be twice the amount of time you spend getting ready! Am I right? Go ahead and tweet that!

So to save time I’m giving you the steps! Follow these and don’t forget to werk when you get to #8.

Be sure to post your finished look on the KDI Facebook! I can’t wait to see!
