The #CurlyCartel Natural Beauty Experience

I’m way overdue for a glam celebration of natural beauty so I was so excited when I was contacted to be a panelist for “A Natural Beauty Experience” on Friday May 3rd. If you’re a natural haired beauty and you’ve never been to a natural hair soiree, you CANNOT miss this! I can’t even begin to describe the love and all the amazing people you will get a chance to meet. Check out the flyer and RSVP!

Tweet me — and let me know you’ll be there! I’d love to meet ya!

It’s Time for Makeup and Martinis!

Ya’ll have to know by now I love any excuse to get glammed up with the girls. When I was in my teens and didn’t have a car or events to attend, I would do up my hair and makeup just for fun as a cure for boredom. I’d walk around the house and my dad would say, “Where do you think you’re going?!” I’d lower my head and say “Um, nowhere.” Ha! Times have changed!

Now I DO have plans and it’s the “Makeup and Martinis” event presented by Melissa Hibbert and hosted by my girl, Miss Dunnie O. Check out the flyer:

Do you see those sponsors?! If you’re in LA this weekend, this is a night you don’t want to miss!

Me and my cuzzo!

Last week I had the amazing pleasure of attending the RuPaul’s Drag Race premiere party at the Abbey in West Hollywood. My cousin, Davide Laffe is an awesome photographer for New York-based magazines (including Get Out! Magazine) so I was there with him in the press line live instagramming and taking it all in. And it was alllll sickennnnnnnning, hunty.

When planning for my outfit for night, I didn’t know whether to go all drag out or remain my little lady self. Let’s be real, I knew I couldn’t compete so I opted for a really fun super casual (ahem comfy) outfit with pants! The club was filled with the who’s who of the drag world including Rupaul and the all star drag queens who later performed on stage. We sat around drinking and watching the first episode of All Stars. It was so fun to watch it in that room.. I think Davide put it best when he leaned over to me and whispered “It’s like watching the Super Bowl of the gays.” Yup, and I loved every minute of it!
